The S in Sam often thought about how tired he was. He had lots of time to think, since it wasn't very hard to be an S once you got the hang of it. He was an unusually coordinated letter, and had gotten the hang of it right away. He could stand at attention, maintaining a perfect double curve, in his sleep. Which he did a lot when no one was looking.
